Is this the original design for this lovely theatre? Lighting and ceiling are incredible. Check out the 5th Avenue theatre in Seattle. Also an oriental masterpiece. From the 1920’s too and open all the time for stage productions. Restored in the 1980’s I believe. Very large like the Chinese. Just as elaborate.
Beautiful architecture here and curved design is lovely. Some of the Dimension 150 theatres used this similar design. Did not know My Fair Lady was done in cinerama. Thought it was filmed in the 1960’s. Saw it in extreme 70mil. Music Box Theatre in Seattle. A small place with a huge wide screen. Torn down now. It was elaborate too.
Beautiful details in this classic theatre. Is there a reason the lighting and sound equipment added to these lovely older theatres are always black? Why not a color that would match the walls and other backgrounds. They would not standout as much. Just a thought. Check out the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle. One of the most elaborate movie palaces in the country from the 20’s. It is now also a live theatre. It is also full of black lighting and speakers. I have been there many times and the incredible plaster details would be nicer if the black metal was a more subtle gold or beige or gilt.
Beautiful rather middle eastern architecture, Any interior pics? Great looking building. Too bad it is history like so many lovely older theatres. New ones are often ugly boxes.
Miss the nice marquee. Still a lovely classic building. Interior pics?
Great pic. Moody and evocative. Like out of a Hitchcock film. Beautiful.

Good there is some interesting plaster detail left at this grand theatre. Ceiling and back wall look good.
Art deco masterpiece that is clean and dramatic. Lighting is handsome.
Wow – elegant place. Curtains and ceiling and walls are great.
Kind of art deco in interior decoration. Is this pic from the 40’s maybe?
Is this the rebuilt theatre? It is beautiful and looks large. Very art moderne. Interior pics would be nice. Lovely building.
Ultimate art deco look everywhere. Handsome.
Marquee is handsome and blade signage too.
Beautiful curtain design. Waterfall when closed right? Interesting building.
Great pic of an interesting movie promo for this cute theatre.
Great curved marquee and trim detail around the roof line. Interior original pics would be interesting.
Nice mural work and lighting.
Dramatic carpeting for sure.
