I grew up in Lexington, KY, “The Horse Capital of the World,” and my family has worked on and managed racehorse farms since the 1930s. Indeed, the Cinemark theatre was named after the famous racehorse, Man O' War (1917-1947, Google him for more info), as was Man O' War Boulevard, which makes a circle halfway to three-quarters of the way around Lexington. The theatre now offers dinner/drinks while you’re watching the movie and is a new theatre/dining experience. The whole area (miles and miles) near where the Lexington Movie Tavern sits was farmland when I was a child.
