Today, May 12, 2016 is the last day of shows at the Carmike Park Hills Theatre 7. The theatre is therefore closing just 16 days before it would have turned 40.
Based on people’s comments on the FaceBook page(s) it appears to have closed down around April of this year (2015), or possibly the end of last year (2014), after a few years of decline, and the space was gutted for asbestos removal in May.
This theater will likely be closing in the next several months, as Carmike has recently opened a new 12 screen on the new edge of town. Thus the oldest (by almost 20 years) of the new theaters will soon be closed.
I guess I’ll have to Patronize the small theaters like the Rowland or the Clifton 5. :–/

The street-view is no where near correct, but there is no update option.
The downstairs theater was broken into two or three classrooms, so as Wannagitawt said, only the upstairs screen is still in use.
