  • <p>The Dawn-A-Vu Drive-In was opened in May 1956 when it was operated by Donald Mendenhall. In the late-1970’s it was renamed Idan-ha Drive-In. Jeff and Shauna Bowen, who also run the indoor Idan-ha Theatre on Main Street.</p>

  • <p>This is the very first architectural plan by Stone Bros. in 1905 for the 1 5-floor, 1,200 room, proposed Audubon Hotel. But the $7 million price tag didn’t match the investors' wallet size (they apparently had $2 million). A financial downturn in 1907 led to new architectural plans as the building downscaled from 15 to 12 to 8 floors… and zero hotel rooms upon completion.</p>
