The sign for the medical center coming soon is still there but falling off. Looking through a hole in the plywood, it looks like the auditorium is either collapsed or partially demolished. There is a permit for demolition at the rear of the building posted on the plywood, but it looks old and there appears to be no active work going on.

The mayor just floated the idea of buying the theatre to use as a community center; he was shot down by the City Council and has reversed course.
