I can rememember seeing Fantasia when I was young at this theatre. THe Palace was a beautiful movie theatre before they divided it up. When they divided it up, they ruined it. It was neat thought, seeing a movie in the secton that use to be the balcony. I can remember seeing 3 movies in one day at the Palace.
It was a 1 sceen theatre, which closed in 1999(I think). It was running as a discount movie theatre before it closed. Not sure why it closed, it appeared to doing ok as a discount, especially being next to Tenn Tech
I have a lot of great memories of this theatre. It started as a single screen, then a double screen and finally a triple screen theatre. During the 80’s showed the midnight movies, I saw Rocky Horror and The Warriors during the midnight shows.
