The Canton Palace is one of the finest theatres in both Ohio and the United States. The city of Canton and Stark County is very proud. Was personally involved in restoring the wonderful “Kilgen” pipe organ still played during performances.

This priceless treasure is my hometown theatre…born and raised in Canton, I have been privileged to see this beautiful movie house “age” and then renovated to its original magnificence.
In addition to the Moorish “outdoor” feel of the auditorium, the ceiling has the “cloud projections” and animated birds in full operation. The original “Kilgen” pipe organ has been fully restored and used during performances prior to a “roadshow” motion picture and special film presentations including “organ interlude” intermissions. The organ pipe chambers were designed to truly give you a “stereophonic” surround sound even in the early days of the cinema. Technically the theatre has state-of-the-art projection equipment capable of running nearly all formats and aspect rations. The Canton Palace is probably the most outstanding operating motion picture theatre in northeastern Ohio. When in Canton a screening is a must at the “Palace.”

The Chicago theatre was one of the most impressive of the grand movie palaces. Have visited in the ‘70s and recently.
It has only gotten better with age.
This theatre is truly a National Treasure.
