Lake Park Outdoor Theatre
This photo ran as part of a two-page article on the Lake Park in the Feb. 6, 1954 issue of Boxoffice. The original caption:
The scene above is typical of the hour before show time at the Lake Park Outdoor Theatre in Fond du Lac, Wis. The merry-go-round with its band organ and the miniature train located in front of the screen tower, also provided with a band organ in the small gingerbread house at the foot of the tower, made children and adults happy in the 1953 season with more than 150,000 free rides. Free rides, however, were offset by a children’s admission which helped to defray cost of this expensive playground equipment. School classes are invited to have their picnics on the grounds, free of charge, of course. This has proved an excellent goodwill promotion.
