Southland 75 Drive-In
From the Feb. 15, 1965 issue of Boxoffice, part of a three-page spread. I haven’t seen very many drive-in theater fountain photos, so I had to share this one. Not my copyright of course. The original caption:
The entrance to the new Southland 75 Drive-In Theatre, Dayton, Ohio, presents this inviting vista. Some of the trees and shrubs included in the $25,000 landscaping work are seen, as well as the oval planter with an illuminated fountain. Also noteworthy are the graceful wing walls of the screen tower. The theatre opened late last November and roadways and all blacktopping will be completed this spring. The theatre will operate the year around.
