I wish Douglas Trumbull would make another film “his way”. He is more unique than 99% of all the Hollywood filmmakers in direction and content putting him in the category of an Orsen Welles or Stanley Kubrick. So, if you’re listening Mr Trumbull, treat us to another facinationg movie!

I’m pretty sure I saw “Robinson Crusoe On Mars” at this theatre during a Saturday matinee on August 22, 1964 as listed in the Columbus Dispatch. It might be one of my first movie going memories. A great movie that my two older brothers took me to via the bus to downtown. I still remember waiting on that bus after the movie in Kreskie’s (spell check) store and seeing/smelling that great pizza in their case that I couldn’t afford! If I only had a time machine… zman

I went to a movie at Northland Cinema on Thursday July 18, 1968 at 2pm and saw “Doctor Dolittle”. I was 12 years old and my brother drove me there to see it. He bought me the movie program which I still have today and I wrote the date and day that I saw it inside. At that time I believe the mall had not been enclosed with a ceiling like Eastland Mall was.

I saw a fun movie at this theater in July of 1966 with my brother. I was ten years old at the time. It was “Around The World Under The Sea” and I still even now remember the previews of coming attractions. They were “The Spy With My Face,” a “Man From U.N.C.L.E.” two-parter tv episode and “Hold On” with Herman’s Hermits. It was a Saturday so my dad dropped us off and picked us up after the show.
