I was inside the theatre in the mid 80’s. The landlord wanted to sell the seats. The interior was in an egyptian motif with sphinxes and egyptian figures on the walls, light fixtures and the end legs of the seats. The owner planned to turn it into a shooting range? He told me that people no longer came to the theatre because there was no available parking. I’ve always wondered what happened to the place. The interior was fascinating.
Where is the Garden Theatre located? I am a seat broker based in NYC, but I grew up in Detroit, and remeber all the old houses in Hamtramck and Downtown. Good luck in restoration.
Sorry – these seats have been SOLD. I will be posting other seats for sale in the month of October.
If you wish to see photos of the seats, please remember to post your e-mail. Lillian

The owner of the Bklyn Heights Theatre is a friend of mine. He has no intention of closing the theatre.
