This is the site of the original Kinema theater. I had heard that the original had some fire-damage at one point, so it may have been completely rebuilt or just renovated enough that it was still used. Then somewhere down the line they gutted the inside of the theater and you can now enter the building from the Kalmia side of the theater, there are lots of shops and offices within the building now. There is also a Patio Playhouse office/stage in there, which sure sounds like it’s remnant from the Kinema/Pala, but confirmation is need for all of that.
