This must have been taken very early on and looks like it was taken from the roof of the concession stand. “Playland” for the kids was at the foot of the huge screen. By the time I knew the theater in the 60’s and 70’s, the rounded, Deco-inspired decoration flanking the two sides of the screen were long gone.

Motion Picture Herald wrote on Jan. 9, 1954 that the new (wider) screen had been installed at the Twilight Gardens, so this must have been earlier.
