I remember as a kid spending as much time as I could at the Gem Theater which was within sprinting distance of my grandparents house. The Embassy was a few blocks up Fulton St. Saw a lot of movies there to and distinctly recall seeing “The Robe” in the early 50’s.

My grandparents lived on Campus Pl., right behind The Gem. The bank used to be The Hamburg Savings Bank.
A great movie palace. Saw lots of great features in that house.
