The last double feature (on one of the screens) before the Maumee was shut down for good. August 30th, 1986. Clearly, not a family drive-in anymore, which helped hasten its decline. Not only did the quality of patrons decline, but the site itself, as well, while public complaints from the homeowners behind the drive-in (R-rated material their kids were watching out their bedroom windows) all combined to help close this once-great drive-in.
