North Massapequa "OLIVER!" Pole-Poster
Even though it wasn’t a fancy theater, the North Massapequa manged to almost always get first-run movies. When a new movie came to town, “pole posters"like this one (the were called that because they were usually stapled to telephone poles) were put up all over the shopping center and in the nearby neighborhood.
This one, from 1968, now hangs on the wall of my apartment in San Francisco.
(and, ‘yes’- - over 30years later, I’m still in the “projection business”, )
