…especially a website that is supposed to be about preserving, documenting or remembering movie theaters, not rehashing whatever problem you had with management or trying to find out if it’s a good place to hook up. I don’t know why this particular theater seems to attract so many who don’t understand that.

I love the fact this ad is a combo of (literal) cut and paste, and hand lettering.

Hey, I’m still hoping they’ll reconstruct the original Penn Station.

Gentlemen, gentlemen… no use beating a dead horse. Or a bunch of dead theaters.

“According to a local nothing has been done as yet.” I am shocked – shocked! Round up the usual suspects…

The current map is correct.

Okay, it’s getting spooky. Somebody complains about the order of the comments, and they get switched. Somebody complains about the lead photo, and it gets changed. It’s almost like somebody in authority is MONITORING this page… or could it be this is the place where wishes come true? Hm…that gives me an idea…

It sure would be nice if that stupid condo plan was dropped and somebody committed a lot of money to rehab the whole theater! (Oh, and it would also be nice if cash would start shooting out of my computer…)

Interesting concept from the former BP: a “cancer” that, instead of growing, seems to continually shrink.

Actually, not a board game, but a game with which I am bored. Haven’t watched it in a while.

I updated the Street View, which was showing 37th Avenue, not 37th Road. Not sure how recent the photo is.

Tinseltoes, clearly you are not a fan of Jeopardy!

Ed, you’re right — I take it back. If I scroll back far enough, there are photos… I thought there were photos more recently than that, so I didn’t see them. And it turns out the links ARE there, they just don’t appear in different color type the way they used to (at least, in Google Chrome) so I didn’t realize they were live links.

Change is sometimes hard to get used to for us old fogies. (OK, so I’M the old fogey.) Scrolling back multiple pages takes some getting used to…but I guess it’s a decent tradeoff for not having to wait forever for one whole endless page of comments and photos to load!

Bway, not sure what you’re talking about. Even when I view all comments, I’m not seeing any of the photos or links. And I had to create a new identity to get in, because the site refuses to recognize my old one. (And my last comment stating this was deleted!)

The map that was added showing this theater’s former location is way off. It should be in the grey area just to the south of Copps Hill Rd and just to the west of Danbury Rd – Rt 35, which is the Copps Hill Shopping Center.

I don’t know what’s happened to this site since you redid it, but now the address on the Lefrak Theater is wrong. It was on 99th Street, not on 57th Ave. I changed the Street View, but can’t find any way to correct the address.
