I saw Smokey and the Bandit here not long after it premiered. The screen was tiny and we never went back. At least not for a movie. The mall was pretty good and had a Montgomery-Ward.
I saw the Poseidon Adventure here circa 1973. That is all.

I lived in Eagle Rock from 1980 through 1985 during which my age was 14 to 19. If the Eagle had been showing porn during that time, I definitely would have noticed! But it wasn’t. The theater was dumpy but admission was cheap.

I like the theater but the seats are old and uncomfortable, especially if you are over 6 feet tall.
My grandfather took me to see “The Spy Who Loved Me” in ‘77. Great memories. I hope the Strand makes a comeback some day.
