Hi Sandi,
you may want to look at www.newempiretheatre.co.uk as they have done much the same as you are looking to do. Maybe give you some idea’s for your site.
Good Luck with your project,
George.
Hi All,
I agree with keeping both machines using 6oooft spools. If you have the room for a cakestand then have one as well for the run of the the mill films which come to you already cut up.
I work in a single screen art’s cinema and up to shortly ago we could also show 16m/m but that has now been replaced with a digital NEC. Quite a startling machine if we are to call it that.We are finding that most of the Arty films are now shown in Dig.Sign of the times I’m afraid.I’m 63 so will be callinf it a day soon anyway.Nice to finish with the latest gear.

Hi Michael,
I couldn’t agree more. Here in the UK exactly the same is going on. The difference is the rating system here is mandatory. In a number of cases it has resulted in Theatre Management being taken to court and fined. The top penalty is to be closed down. There is very little control on what the kids are doing. As you say the Theatre pays for the wrong doing. They should fine the kids as well, that would maybe make some of them think twice, but to some it would make no difference. I don’t the the answer to it.
Regards, George.
Hi Larry,
I’m in UK so not a lot of use to you. But it sounds like you have Diodes gone down on your Tranformers, your first call is to the people who supply your lamps as they usually supply diodes as well. They also should know of someone that can fit them for you. They will also check the voltage for you.
Regards, George. UK
Hi above but Guy Hands took over Odeon and UCI at the back end of last year. Things move pretty fast on chains changing hands lately.
UGC has also been taken over by CineUK.

I hope they didn’t remove too much from the boxes as they normally do so cinema use in the future is impossible.
