I grew up close to Melody 49. I remember watching the original “Plant of the Apes” & the man with no name Clint Eastwood trilogy. I enjoyed it until I moved in 1990. Next time I visit the area I’m going to go there. The last time I was in the area I went to the drive in in Springfield. Ohio has a lot of drive ins for anyone visiting there.
Great drive in. The only one in the area. They always show first run movies. The concession stand is great! I would like a 3rd movie added sometimes. The “Grease” event was a special showing that I went to. The place was packed by 7 pm. If you go here go early. This drive in fills up fast. Its worth the wait for the movie to start.
Too bad this drive in is closed. I loved that it was small & concession stand was inexpensive. The location is a plus even though I had to drive 1 hour. It was well worth it. It’s a great place to watch a movie. I’d go see reruns not in digital just to enjoy the experience again. I hope someone will save it.
