I remember the Regal way back in the 1950’s/60s I would lean my cycle against that side brick wall, Those sliding doors shown in the photo were not there then just bricks. Films started showing early in the evenings and finished approx 9.30. The first film I saw there was called The Mountain staring Spenser Tracy and Robert Wagner.
I visited the Regal Cinema regular in the 1950’s and early 60’s.The Cinema can be seen in the photo at top center, it brings back many memories. If my memory is correct the films ended at about 9.30pm then I would cycle home 4 miles to Easton, my clothes would smell of cigarette smoke.
I did save all the film programs but when moving house discarded them, wish I still had them.
