Plaza Theatre - Located in the south-east Melbourne beach community of Chelsea. Originally on this site prior to 1923 operated the Open Air Picture Theatre. It was demolished in 1923, and the Victory De Luxe Theatre was built and opened.

The Victory De Luxe Theatre operated until 1935. It was re-opened in 1938 as the Plaza Theatre and continued as a cinema until closing in 1988.

It was converted into a bingo club, which continued into the mid-2000’s. In 2010 the building is in use as a children’s play centre. - Ken Roe
