Phil Branford writes January 7, 2026 - Hi, the Warner actually closed (under Wallis management) on Saturday, February 2nd., 1980, with the final programme of “MURDER BY DECREE”. The film then started a season at the Academy the following day. I was the projectionist on duty for the final.
