Photo - Courtesy of Max D. Bell - 1980
The Goldsworthy Gardens and Drive-In opened in (1967?). Goldsworthy was the first of the closed mining in the Pilbara at the end of the Port Hedland - Goldsworthy Railway. 250 people could sit on the canvas deckchairs, and cars could park behind the seats. Sound provided by loudspeakers.
The Gardens and Drive-In closed when the the town closed in the early-1990’s and the area returned to bush. The Goldsworthy iron ore mine is still operating.
