Sydney’s snazzy deco LIBERTY THEATRE 1934-1974. Long and narrow but with 650 plush red velvet seats and great sound and imagery on screen.

The foyer featured a magnificent Raynor Hoff sculpture, lost when the bulldozer tore through in 1975. Those doors! Magnificent deco, lost… photos from MGM archives salvaged in the 70s.

Gaby is a 1956 American drama film directed by Curtis Bernhardt and starring Leslie Caron, John Kerr, Cedric Hardwicke, Taina Elg and Margalo Gillmore.
