Sharon Rae writes - I remember the capital theatre really well. It brings back great memories My mum ( Margaret Dungey) worked there. My grand father ( Alan Hutton ) was the projectionist there as well. I remember the little shops next door as we use to go there at interval time for sweets. I have got a old photo of people who use to work there.

Pauline Kirchner writes - Dad Gil Antuar was the projectionist there for a long time and early on mum was an usher

Elaine Frost writes - My Mum & dad Mary & Perce Peter’s had the two shops at the theatre glad sandy & Kath Cox worked in one, beryl Koch used to work in the office.

Brenton Brockhouse writes - In the 1967-69 era I used to assist the projectionist, Gil Antuar, on Saturday nights. The untrained work like rewinding the 30min spools and checking for sprocket damage, and occasionally being allowed to trim the carbon arc rods or operate the change over slides. Never got to see much of the film but got paid 10/-. Even now I can remember how to thread up the film on these old projectors when found in museums.

Ann Brennan writes - I remember Herb Hutton being the projectionist (Sharon and Dayle Dungey’s grandfather) and Winn Hockley selling the tickets.
