Rivest266: Plaza 6 is still quite open…
This Theater opened as an independent called “Plaza Cinemas”. It opened as “Carmike Plaza 6” on Friday, Dec. 12, 1996.

Became “Carmike 7 Movie World” on May 25 1994.

Both Cinema World and Carmike tried to get rid of the “Movie World” name, But it stuck till the end. Carmike 7 closed in June 2004 and was demolished soon after.
Became “Cinema World Movie World” on December 24, 1987. By this time it was a 7 Screen Multi.

Originally a “General Cinema” Theater, It first advertised as a “Cinema World” Theater around December 21, 1988
On May 6 1974, Theater 1 was closed and split in half to form Theaters 1 and 3, making this cinema a triple. opening day was June 28, 1974.
On April 27 1981, Theater 2 closed and was split into theaters 2 and 4, with the cinema opening as a quad on June 11 1981
