No, I’m fairly sure it was Dillards, with Montgomery Ward at the opposite end of the mall. The only Sears store in Arlington in those days was the one at Six Flags Mall….
That’s sad news. Having grown up in Arlington during the ‘70s, I recall going to the Forum 6 even as early as its opening in the fall of '71 — although I don’t think I’d seen a film there in 15 years. But a 34-year run as a first-run venue is certainly impressive.
