this drive in theatre never showed first run films, they showed all product from dvds and vhs tapes. there digital projection was awesome and the sound crisp and clear and you could hear the film for about 3 miles going towards the bay bridge when you left the drive in. the theatre featured a drive in size inflatable screen which presented the films very well. the rest rooms were located in the ball park and it was kinda cool to see a lightly lit ball field as you walked to the rest room. the concession stand had top notch food at low prices. maryland crab cakes and pit beef were awesome. when mr ackerman closed the theatre he took his operation to hagerstown maryland to take over the r/c theatres 10 plex and revived for a while the hager drive in theatre
this is the worst drive in theater ive ever been to. the man talks all over the radio during intermission when he is showing short subjects like the 3 stooges where you miss key points in the plot. mr vogel please funnel cakes and hot dog specials can wait to be mentioned during a preview and not a classic short like the 3 stooges.

the final films shown at the drive int theatre were a free admission weekend (ghost)(the naked gun 2)&(pet semetary) the drive in theatre was allways busy over the weekends with its overflowing lot of vendors at its famous flea markets. you had to arrive at 1am as the movies were ending to wait all night to get a good space to sell at the drive in on sundays. the flea market for years kept the drive in theatre from being closed with its record crowds that would cause traffic delays on the main road.
the theatre across the road is venture cinemas 12 all seats all shows are $2.00 showing second run films and the mall is now formaly known as venture mall and is now ( sante fe mall )
