Belair Twin Theatre

The Belair was located in the crook of the L-shaped turn in this shopping center (about where the white truck is parked). The stores on the right, in this view from Merrick Rd, are still in the original structure (although with renovations to the facade) - in fact the Chinese restaurant open back when the Belair was still in operation. I’m not sure if the back section of stores are original or were entirely re-built when the shopping center was expanded so I can’t say with any authority if the theater was demolished or just gutted.

Actually, the structure on the right is as new as the rest of this strip mall; the entire old shopping center was demolished. I grew up I this neighborhood, and I now live just a few blocks from this location, so I know from which I speak.
