Quaker Theater - recent years
As mentioned, the Quaker had been a single screen, but Pittsburgh Cinemas (?) decided to split it. They gave the GM (Rose) no real money to do this, so seats were pulled from the center and a big wall put in place and painted black (circa mid 1980’s). This resulted in the left screen having a row of seats on the left side slopped inwards, with the right side of the theater seating facing forward. If you can picture the original seating being made up of three sections with the left section slopping in; the center facing forward, and the right section slopping towards the screen. Tough to explain but easier to visualize.
