Floor plan of the Taylor Street Theatre (the original name of the Guild) c.1930 when the venue was converted from a recital hall connected to Portland’s Studio Building. The original lobby was in the office structure next door (you can see where it connected in the upper left corner of the plan. A new street entrance and foyer had to be built next to the existing stage, making the Taylor Street/Guild a rare “reverse auditorium.”
