Liberty Theatre
The Blue Mountain Echo reported on 9th January 1920 that the newly opened Masonic Hall had been screening three nights a week to ‘bumper’ houses. Programs run at Leura were usually the same as were screening at Katoomba Theatres’ not far away Empire or Kings. (Those theaters were later rebuilt as the Embassy and Savoy). Showings at Leura were soon reduced to just Saturday nights, using the same film print swapped between the two locations.
