Liberty Theatre
With Blackheath, Leura and Katoomba cinemas all operating under the same Corne ownership, there were no screening difficulties when “Snow White” was revived in 1953. In fact, Leura and the Savoy shared the same print! Of passing note is the fact that Disney had a policy of requiring that its features be shown at evening sessions on any day they run as matinees. To avoid missing their regular Friday/Saturday night adult trade, many exhibitors programmed Disney films to screen mid-week where reduced night trade was not so critical.
