West's Theatre
‘The simple lines of the auditorium, relieved by the curved surfaces of the ceiling, all direct attention to the proscenium. The wall surfaces generally are plain and unadorned though simple decoration has been incorporated at the flanks of the proscenium’ – Building magazine 24th May 1941. Bolot’s original plan was for the auditorium to seat 498 in the Stalls and 330 Dress Circle, giving a capacity of 828. However with modifications, WESTS capacity was always close to its original Crown licensed number of 674 determined back in 1919.
