This view of George Street south from the corner of Bathurst Street circa 1890 shows several of the buildings in the 1925 image located in this collection. Interesting to note is that the sign in that photo (inset) extends along George Street to include only the later location of the Trocadero/Hoyts Centre. The 1928 Regent was built right ‘next door’.
