Fifty-one year old Regent architect Cedric H. Ballantyne arrives by ship 9th December 1927 with Mrs. F. W. Thring (mother of actor Frank Thring) and Mrs. Ruby Ballantyne. Mr. Ballantyne also worked closely with Thring senior on a number of other Regents – including South Yarra, Ballarat, Adelaide and - grandest of all - the Melbourne Regent (and Plaza).
