One of the last ‘big’ attractions at the Prince Edward, “Becket” opened 16th September 1964 and ran for 22 weeks. Four-track magnetic sound was installed for the season ‘at great expense’. Advertisements went on to say: ‘You will be not only be thrilled, but wildly excited at this innovation.’
