Aerial view of original Burwood Westfield a few days before it opened on 11th October 1966 shows an empty rooftop parking area. Circled in yellow is the Astor/Hoyts Burwood cinema with roof clearly shown. Circled in red is the approximate location of GU’s Event Cinemas which are entered through (the completely rebuilt in 2000) Westfield - but are physically located on the other side of Victoria Street.
