Concessionaires Pty Ltd was the Hoyts subsidiary which held exclusive rights to Candy Bar and Ice Cream sales at their theatres. With the opening of Hoyts Burwood in 1966, the company experimented with the operation of a licensed restaurant in Westfield next door, promoting the ’meal and a movie’ idea. The ‘Gallery Bistro’ shown here, had a short tenure.
