The caption to this item in the “It’s a Miami Thing” exhibit that ran at the HistoryMiami Museum from July 29, 2021 to January 9, 2022 said:

“The neon ‘Miami’ at the entrance to the exhibition came from the front of the Miami Theatre on Flagler Street. We had it restored especially for this exhibition. Miami Theatre, circa 1947. Gift of Oscar Skylar, Luis Brill and Erique Levy.”
