I am 41 years old and my folks would take me and my brothers to that Drive-In when I was very very young. It definitely closed before 88 because by then we had relocated to Texas from the U.P. and it closed before we moved from MI in 86 so 85 sounds about right for its closure. I still remember watching a horror movie called “The Boogey Man” (released in 1980) there that my folks were incredibly disturbed by and we left early. I cried because I didn’t want to leave. lol I was only 3 but my memory of that is pretty crisp. My memory stretches much further back than most people’s that I know. To this day I remain quite the horror buff.
