This is the artist’s rendering of the New Crystal Theater which replaced the Crystal motion picture theatre which – itself – had previously been a live theater known as the Crystal Palace. It is listed as in operation at 1886 - along with Thompson’s Variety Theatre - and likely began operation in 1883.
