The New Melba opened on November 27, 1940 with “Tugboat Annie” supported by the Warner Cartoon “Good Night Elmer,” the Warner Vitaphone short “Jan Garber and Orchestra” and Ray Whitley and Six Bar Cowboys in “Barroom Buckaroos.”
