Cinemas Southwest Theatre Circuit opened the Diamond Point Theatre on September 27, 1974 with “That’s Entertainment” and “Walking Tall.” Waco Mayor Oscar DuConge was there for the opening along with Z.F. Cook, head of Cinemas Southwest.
