Almost unbelievably, AMC Theaters built two four screen theaters within five miles of each other in Dallas' Oak Cliff in 1971. One here is the Triangle 4 in the Golden Triangle Shopping Center and the other was the Western Park 4 on W. Illinois. Sadly, both theaters died unsuccessfully and quickly for the chain. 35 years later both theaters were still standing and – yet almost more unbelievably – each in 2015 were home to the same franchised retail store as Dollar Generals.

Correction: Family Dollar — not Dollar General.
