Midwest Theatre, Oklahoma City, Dec. 2, 1960 World Premiere showing of Cimarron. Premiere followed by lot’s of festivities i.e. parade, dinners, & party’s. Harvey street was blocked off between Grand Ave & Main Street. Band played on street while bright beaming lights pointed skyward. Attending stars included: Glenn Ford, Maria Schell, Anne Baxter & Russ Tamblyn. Movie played reserve seats for 6 record breaking weeks.
