I was an usher at the Westgate Theater during 1951 with my friend George Anderson, who helped me get a job there. Howard Hinton was the Manager. I had grown up in Edina from 1944 to 1950 and our family went there quite often. During my grade school days at Wooddale School we would take our first girl friends there for a movie. A fond memory of another time long ago. A nice little theater and well managed.

Chris; it was $.75 per hour in 1952. I also was an Usher at the Westgate Theater in Morninside/Edina in 1951. It paid $.50 per hour if I recall correctly. CB

I grew up in St.Louis Park from 1950-1955. The theater had a sunken lounge and was well maintained. I was an Usher there in 1952 with my friend Bruce Patterson and his brother Bud, who was Assistant Manager. We wore uniforms of Maroon with gold trim. Polished shoes were a must to keep your job! Saw some of the greatest films there on that large screen. Fond memories of a time when life was much simpler and graceful. Young folks today do not know what they missed.

I was an Usher at the Westgate in 1951 and Howard Hinton was the Manager. There were two Ushers on duty and we wore Maroon Garments and Hats. During the forties we lived in Edina, my two sisters and I would walk to the movies as it was the only entertainment in those times. I can still remember the sales of War Bonds there during WW2. Fond memories
