Following the US Supreme Court overturning the Georgia Supreme Court verdict in favour of Carnal Knowledge, the film was subsequently shown with Night Porter (another Avco Embassy release) as a double-feature during 1974. Does anyone remember seeing these together at this time (and in Georgia)?
Anyone know who the theater manager was in 1974/75? This theater used to advertise jointly with the Century 24 at Pleasant Hill. Is the Century 24 listed on cinemtreasures.org? I can’t find it. Does anyone remember the Century 24? Thanks everyone.
In March 1975, the film playing was the art-house classic The Night Porter (certificate R). The advertisements advertising the film in the local press were censored versions of the advertising mats supplied to theatre managers by the film’s distributor, Avco Embassy.
If anyone remembers seeing this movie here in March 1974, please get in touch. I’d like to ask some questions.
I’m looking for first hand accounts of seeing The Night Porter at this theater in connection with film history research I am engaged in. Anyone with memories of The Night Porter, however vague, please feel free to get in touch with me. .co.uk

Saw Greenaway’s ‘The Draughtsman’s Contract’ here in 1980s. The best London art cinema in my opinion.
Smoothie… Much obliged to you. Look forward to hearing back. No rush.

Anyone remember seeing The Night Porter here in October 1974? The movie was savaged by the critics but the theater was apparently packed for weeks.
Anyone have any recollection of The Night Porter opening here on October 30, 1974?
