Taken by myself on 28th February – some structural evidence of the stalls and stage still there (the stage-side is still definitely in place), but now no roof and a huge hole in the front. Interior is pretty much all rubble now.

The Cecil was, for a while, a small cinema known as ‘Take Two’. This cinema specialised in films which had left the larger circuits and were a few months old. This will have been around 1994-1995, and didn’t last very long – probably only about a year.

The previous nightclubs have been closed and once again it’s being ‘reconstructed’ into another nightclub.
